This month’s company representative is Julie from Fittleworth, she came to do a talk at the Hambleton and Richmondshire Ostomy Support Group and I asked if she would be interested in taking part, she nicely agreed! Here she is with her other main love in life her dogs this one is called Rags.
What company do you work for? Fittleworth Medical
What is your job role? I’m a Dispensing Relationship Manager, a posh name for a rep.
How long have you worked there? 10months
How did you get into this job? Through a recruitment agency, as most reps do
Do you have any advice for someone who would like to this or something similar? Make sure you are sure it’s what you want to do, it can be a lonely life on the road with a lot of knock backs, so you need to enjoy your own company, love driving and have a thick skin. If you tick all those boxes, go for it, I love my job.
How would you describe your job in three words? Rewarding, frustrating, great
What is your favourite part of the job? Meeting people, especially in support groups, which I do for Stoma and Laryngectomy people.
Is there any aspect you aren’t so fond of? The M62 or as my grandson calls it, the M60 pooh!
How do you think your colleagues would describe you? A team player, enthusiastic and a good laugh, hopefully.
Cake or pie? Cake all the way.
You have been given an elephant as a gift. You can’t give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant? That’s easy, I would keep her in our bottom field and bring her out for rides at the charity events we have in the village and the surrounding villages.
Thank you Julie for answering my interview questions, I particularly liked your answer for the elephant and M60 pooh!
