Reppin’ the Reps Kim from Salts Healthcare

Welcome back to The Reppin’ the Reps series! This month we have the lovely Kim from Salts Healthcare answering some questions about her line of work plus two just for fun questions!

What company do you work for? Salts Healthcare

What is your job role? Senior territory manager and lead for the north

How long have you worked there? 16 years

How did you get into the job? I’ve worked in the stoma care industry since I was 16 years old, my first role was in the care centre for Amcare talking to the patients and taking their prescription orders. I then moved into sales at Amcare. I moved to Salts 16 years ago and was promoted to lead for the north 3 years ago.

Do you have any advice for someone who would like to do this or something similar? Go for it! It’s a fantastic job, very rewarding. If you can go and spend a day with someone in this field.

How would you describe your job in three words? Challenging, enjoyable and fulfilling

What is your favourite part of the job? Supporting the SCN (stoma care nurses) and patients, helping them overcome any problems and giving them advice on products.

Is there any aspect you aren’t so fond of? Traffic jams

How do you think your colleagues would describe you? Competitive, fun and very committed

Cake or pie? Pie even though pastry gives me heartburn

If you could live in any fictional TV programme which would it be? Poldark, so I could wear the Georgian dresses and ride the beautiful horses.

Thank you for that Kim! I haven’t seen Poldark for the fear of drooling at Aiden Turner but the beaches it is set near is actually not far from my Father in Law’s house so I’m hoping I bump into him when I visit if they are filming next! If you missed the last instalment of the series please click here. Also if you are a rep for a company we haven’t featured please get in touch and I will sort out some questions for you!
