EXERCISE SAFELY
Exercising when you have an ostomy is not only doable, it's great for your physical strength and mental health. However, it does need to be done carefully under the supervision of your nurse and/or PT with appropriate support wear to protect those abdominal muscles which have been weakened through surgery.
Ideally, you should be wearing a medium-level 2 support garment or a firm level 3 belt for strenuous activities.
