Get To Know Comfizz Customers - #GetToKnowYourCustomersDay

Hello my lovely Comfizz reader,

I hope you are well & as always, I’m sending encouragement & gentle hugs to those of you who need it.

January 20th is #GetToKnowYourCustomersDay.

As a long-standing Comfizz customer myself, I’m sure you have read by now how much I love Comfizz products.

In this post, I wanted to talk to other Comfizz customers, get to know a bit about them & what their favourite Comfizz products are & why.

Thank you to those of you who reached out to me over on Instagram to get involved in this blog post.

Without further ado, let’s get to know our ostomates!

Jennie

Hi 👋🏻 my name is Jennie, I am 32 years old and I have been diagnosed with Crohn’s since 2018. I have had a permanent ileostomy since my diagnosis.

I was introduced to Comfizz soon after my surgery by my nurses and I have loved them ever since. I use the briefs, bands and vests but my personal favourite are the briefs. I love the different colours available and how supportive they are. I wear them most days and built up quite a collection.

The first product I had was a tummy band and I remember how different I felt wearing it. As it was a few months after surgery, I felt my tummy was very swollen and my bag felt heavy which made me very aware of my bag. Wearing the band supported my tummy, kept my bag close to my skin and I felt more comfortable in my clothes and in less pain. Ever since then, I have tried many different products from Comfizz and I wear them everyday.

Rachel

Im Rach and I have had my page for raising awareness since 2016 when my son was born with the same condition as me Hirchsprungs Disease. I wanted to connect with other Mums would could relate and raise awareness of the challenges and beauties of raising such a child.

I have had my ostomy since last Summer and Comfizz were the first company many recommended for support wear. Having started running and training for the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for Jakeys hospital charity I wanted to feel secure and confident when running. I use the 2 layer waistbands and I can honestly say I don't even think about my stoma when running. My little man has also worn the junior waistbands since he had gastrostomy surgery and I can't get him to stop wearing them!

Sarah

I’m Sarah & I have an ileostomy since 2019. I have an ileostomy due to ulcerative colitis. My go to Comfizz product is their level 1&2 support briefs depending on the intensity of the exercise I am doing

I love the briefs as they are so comfy and don’t impede on my exercises that I do. They are light are easy to wear without adding any bulkiness under my clothing

Yvonne

Hey, I'm Vonnie Holley, I’m 32. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2001 I have a Colostomy bag & also a Barbie bum. I had my colostomy life saving surgery due to my Crohn’s Disease and I have lived with my bag for 11 years.

Since having a colostomy bag I like my bag to feel protected. Safe and most of all comfortable. Thankfully we have Comfizz medical support wear. My favourite Comfizz piece is the teal Comfizz vest and Briefs set. It makes my bag feel secure and I can be rest assured when I’m out and about. It also makes me feel confident, plus I love the way it looks.

Louis

Name: Louis

Age: 24

Health and background: diagnosed with UC in Early June 2021.

Events unfolded and in June 2021 I sadly ended up in hospital and rushed into surgery, not know what was happening I came out of surgery with a Ileostomy. After months of recovery I manage to get back on my feet. The biggest obstacle for me what I was worried I would lose my dream job, a police officer. I absolutely love going to work and strive to help people in need. However I was the one in need at this time!

Getting my head around the stoma bag/management was tough for me, thankfully my stoma team mentioned Comfizz. I requested a brochure and when it arrived it felt like a weigh my was lifted off my shoulders because of the support/protection belts. With my job I am often in the line of fire for violent people and I need to be confident in my own ability. Therefore my main go to is the level 1 support elastic band/belt. Thankfully with the support belts I was about to feel comfortable and confident.

Claire

I'm Claire and I'm 29. Back in 2014, I got really sick really quick, pretty much in the space of six weeks I went from being a healthy 21 year old on my teacher training to having my large intestine removed due to Ulcerative Colitis. I had surgery to create an ileostomy, and my large intestine was removed.

I had lost a lot of weight being sick and found my bag stuck out or rubbed against my clothes. I discovered that I could get comfizz on my prescription so thought I would give them a go because I wasn't losing out on anything. I ordered some level 2 medium support briefs and was amazed. The fabric was really supportive but not constricting, my bag could expand when it needed to.

When my bag is empty, the level 2 smooth the outline of my bag. They've always just filled me with confidence. No one knows that I have a bag, unless I tell them, even in leggings during sports. I know that my bag is safe and secure.

Comfizz level 2 are my go to underwear. Day in day out. I teach secondary school and I know that I'll be comfortable and not restricted all day. I referee roller Derby and know my bag is safe and secure.

I also love that I can get different colours. So many high waisted pants are spanx/control top so super restrictive or beige and boring. Other high waisted pants aren't high waisted enough to reach cover my bag. Comfizz pants have clearly been designed with ostomates in mind and are just great.
