With 2022 coming increasingly to a close (where has that year gone?!), we wanted to take the time to thank you as one of our readers for your continued support for another year!
We have blogged (with the help of Rachel) and vlogged (with the help of Ant) about many things such as all about stoma supportwear, friendship, ostomy fashion, food & drink, ostomy education, dating & relationships, travel, exercise & more over on our blog.
But what were the 5 posts that made the cut to the top this year? Let's find out!
1. How long should an ostomy bag stay on?
Rachel talked us through her experience, living with an ostomy & Hirschsprung's Disease, on what things she finds affects the wear time of her ostomy bags and products to help this.
2. What does an abnormal ostomy look like?
We wrote this blog topic aiming to help our readers feel more knowledgeable & therefore more in control when it comes to ostomy life. Knowing what is normal and what isn't can give a lot of ostomates considerable peace of mind.
3. What are the stickers for that come with ostomy bags?
As an ostomate, this can be a question you may have always had but not known the answer to, so don't feel like the odd one out if you don't. Do you think you know? Read the blog post to find out.
4. 5 ways to store your ostomy supplies
How do you organise your supplies? This post gives you 5 ways to step up your organisation game!
5. Can you have a sex life after stoma surgery?
Both Ant & Amy took us through their intimacy tips after ostomy surgery. Ant created a vlog on this for us which you can watch via the post. Being concerned about intimacy is normal and you may have so many questions running through your head. This post talks you through some of these and shows how thankfully, most people can have fulfilled sex lives after surgery. However, everyone is different.
