Reppin’ the Rep’s Sam from Coloplast


This month’s instalment of Reppin’ the Rep’s is the lovely Sam from Coloplast. I have met her at stoma open days in my local area and when she did a talk at The Hambleton and Richmondshire Ostomy Support Group she talked about Core4 and had one of our stoma care nurses on the floor showing us all the exercises!

What company do you work for? Coloplast

What is your job role? Executive Territory Manager

How long have you worked there? 14 years

How did you get into this job? I started my sales career 22 years ago in the pharmaceutical industry working with GP’s and nurses. I did this for 7 years then moved into the Wound Care division of Coloplast in August 2004. I then moved into the Ostomy Division in Coloplast 10 years ago and have never looked back!

Do you have any advice for someone who would like to this or something similar? Spend a day with someone out on the road to get a feel for the job.

How would you describe your job in three words? Rewarding, fulfilling and challenging

What is your favourite part of the job? Spending time with ostomists at support groups/open days, helping them find solutions to make their lives easier living with a stoma

Is there any aspect you aren’t so fond of? No

How do you think your colleagues would describe you? Fun, competitive and passionate

Cake or pie? Cake!

If you could be any animal in the world; what would you be and why? Bird – I would love to fly all over the world!
